Fort McMurray Drug Treatment Court Program

Fort McMurray Drug Treatment Court is a program based on the Alberta DTC model that integrates court intervention and treatment services to end drug-driven crime and assist participants in returning to family, work, and community. Pastew Place takes on the role of the Community treatment team. We provide intensive case management with regard to addiction treatment, connections to resources, and programming to address an individual’s addiction.

We collaborate closely with other agencies within the community so that an individual’s unique needs are met, and they are better equipped to move back into the community and live a healthier lifestyle. We understand that individuals will do anything to support their addiction, and it is our hope that with this program, we can help save more lives as well as keep our community safer.

To reduce the individual, social and economic cost of drug addiction through an innovative partnership between the criminal justice system, drug treatment services and the community.

Vision

Create a safer community by providing court-supervised drug abuse treatment that will reduce criminal behaviour associated with drug abuse, break the cycle of crime and addiction, enhance the lives of the participants, and support their reintegration into the community as healthy productive citizens.
